- Image files must be PDF or JPG files
- File names must consist of the Amazon ASIN, 13-digit ISBN, EAN, JAN, or UPC followed by a period and the appropriate file extension. (Example: B000123456.jpg or 0237425673458.tif - Additional ‘other view’ images can be uploaded by adding a 4-character variant code to the file name. Example B000123456.PT01.jpg or 0237425673458.BACK.tif)
- The PDF must be free of security like password protection. Changes, selection, document printing must be allowed
Amazon Search Inside Image Specifications:
- Image files must be PDF or JPG files including the complete book from front cover to back.
- File names must consist of the Amazon ASIN, 13-digit ISBN, EAN, JAN, or UPC followed by a period and the appropriate file extension. (Example: B000123456.jpg or 0237425673458.tif - Additional ‘other view’ images can be uploaded by adding a 4-character variant code to the file name. - The order of pages in the PDF corresponds exactly to the physical book. Note: This means we cannot process PDFs in “spread” format (i.e. where individual PDF pages contain more than one physical book page.)
- The PDF is compatible with Acrobat 4.0 or later (PDF version 1.3 or later). Acrobat 6.0 (PDF version 1.5) is ideal.
- A front cover is provided, either as a bookmark in the PDF or as a separate file (PDF or JPG)
Amazon Kindle File Upload Specifications:
- The file can be in the format of HTML plain text (.txt), Microsoft Word (.doc, but not .docx), and Adobe Reader (.pdf). We strongly suggest you upload your content in HTML format, which has the best conversion results.
- File names must consist of the 13-digit ISBN, EAN, JAN, or UPC.
- The file must contain the compete book including cover.
Ingram Cover Image Specifications:
- A JPG or TIFF image.
- Clean, clear, and sharply defined, 72-300 dpi, RGB color.
- At least 648 pixels on the longest edge.
- File Images must be named by the 13- digit ISBN. (Example: 123456789X.jpg or 123456789X.tif). No hyphens or other characters should be present. If an image can be used for two separate ISBNs, please save the image once under each ISBN)
Baker & Taylor Cover Image Specifications:
- Images must be of book, CD, DVD or video. No sales sheets.
- Preference is for 1-dimensional images, front cover only. But we will accept 3-D images including the spine or multiple formats if necessary.
- File Images must be titled with full identifier, e.g. 9781234567890.jpg. Book product must use ISBN-13. DVDs and music CDs must use full UPC or GTIN; if no UPC/GTIN, please use ISBN-13. No other text should be included in the tag.
- JPG format is preferred. GIF or TIF images are acceptable.
- Minimum size is 250×250 pixels. 400×600 is preferred.
- Minimum bit size is 25KB; maximum is 1.5MB. Minimum 72 DPI, maximum 300 DPI.
- Full color (RGB), bit or higher true color.
