After recent news that one of Barnes & Noble’s key investors urged the company to sell itself, could the book retailer be finally taking up that advice in the face of dwindling business thanks to Amazon?
The company claims otherwise but there seem to be rumors abound that there has been facilitations of a buyout…
It’s not like there aren’t reasons why a sale isn’t being considered. Barnes & Noble’s stock continues to diminish in value (though the New York Post is reporting that the price of their shares have risen once the rumors broke out), they’ve begun to abandon their Nook eReader, and they haven’t seemed to find much success in their pursuits of branching out to find something else to keep them afloat (aka the restaurants/book store combinations they tried their hand out).
Could the age of Barnes & Noble be finally over soon?
